Discovering Leadership

Before working with Discovering Leadership, two of the key questions I put to Jeremy and Alyson, in the face of diminishing budgets and increasing workloads, were how will I see an impact on the ‘bottom-line’ and how will staff manage the time commitment amidst all the increasing demands of their day job?

They understood the questions only too well!

Their easy style and combined knowledge of what makes individuals and organisations tick were immediately apparent and they demonstrated a clear picture of the productivity enhancements that had been seen with other clients.

On a personal level, the ability to give and receive open and honest feedback that may not be exactly what you want to hear is an art form. One of the most important aspects of ensuring that colleagues embraced the idea of new ways of working was the tackling of their misapprehension, misunderstanding and preconceived ideas of what this actually meant to them.

Jeremy facilitated our first meeting, allowing people to express their fears in an open and neutral environment. He was able to see all sides of the issues raised and, by encouraging 'letting off steam‘, he discovered the true nature of colleagues’ fears and worries. He categorised these and we assigned groups of colleagues to tackle these issues and resolve them.
